Sister Germaine CompagnaSister Germaine Compagna

75-year Jubilarian

Entered: September 8, 1942 – Burlington, Vermont

Current Ministry: Hospitality coordinator, prayer ministry

Motto: All for the honor and glory of God

What a blessing to be so graciously welcomed in our Convent of Mercy! Throughout the years I was involved in several ministries, such as teaching primary grades and C.C.D., hospital ministry and home visitations. More recently,  I helped establish our convent’s Hospitality Ministry, for women needing accommodation while their loved ones were hospitalized in the nearby hospital.

Since retiring, I have served as hospitality coordinator for our Community, assisting wherever needed. Otherwise, I keep busy crocheting, sewing, writing letters, visiting our sick sisters, and doing my ministry of prayer. I am most grateful to God for calling me to serve as a Sister of Mercy! What a blessing these years have been for me!  In closing, I offer Psalm 116: 12, “How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good God has done for me?”
